Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the financial feasibility differences between catfish farming using pellet feed and alternative feed, as well as to examine the impact of different feed types on economic, social, and environmental aspects. The research method is descriptive, with the sample selected randomly using purposive sampling. The research data consists of primary data (interviews) and secondary data obtained from literature and the Sidoarjo Fisheries Department. The results of the business feasibility analysis show that the R/C ratio for pellet feed farming is 1.10, for farming using alternative feed with pellets constituting less than 5% of the feed, the R/C ratio is 1.14, while for farming using alternative feed with pellets constituting 5-10%, the R/C ratio is 1.109. Regarding environmental impacts, the ammonia (NH3) content in wastewater from pellet feed-based catfish farming is lower than that from alternative feed-based farming.
