Abstract

In recent years, professional audio processing has evolved quickly, from prevalent analog techniques to algorithms and systems for digital processing. With the development of technologies like the telephone and radio, the need for audio effects and processing are growing vigorously with time. As a result, a digital system used to create a professional audio effect processor must fulfil stringent requirements such as high-quality processing of numerous audio channels, real-time operation, stability, dependability, and scalability. Preprocessing, editing, and mixing are all part of the music production processing chain, as are digital audio effects. The aim of this Research Paper is to explain and demonstrate the generation of Audio effects via sound processing through the various graphical interpretations and detailed study using MATLAB and the average time to plot each effect was around 20–30 seconds. The audio wave used by us is a sample audio file available on the internet for audio processing. The audio file used is approximately of 4 seconds duration and has a 440Hz frequency. The amplitude vs Frequency plots of various audio effects were studied and analyzed and these effects are thus being compared on various digital signal processing parameters like the Fast Fourier Transform and Spectrogram Plot. We've also done a comparison of various important audio effects and their algorithms, which are utilised to improve or enhance sounds in every step of the music production processing chain, from generation to rendering.
