Abstract

In this research, the mechanical and tribological properties of two deposited metal of Fe-C-Cr-B-Ti alloying systems. In this study, comparative tests of the deposited metal hardfacing by two self-shielded flux-cored wires electrode were carried out: with an exothermic additive (110Cr4Cu5Ti1MnVB) and without an exothermic additive (140Cr15TiSi1MnVB). Abrasive wear resistance was evaluated using a slightly modified procedure on a standardized tribological machine for abrasive wear, according to the limits established by the ASTM G65. The results of studies of the efficiency of introduction of an exothermic addition CuO-Al system into the core filler of a flux-cored wire electrode were presented.
