Abstract

The phase-locked loops (PLLs) is very important for synchronization between the utility networks and the three-phase grid-interfaced renewable energy converters. To improve the performance of PLLs under the distorted grid conditions, incorporating different filtering techniques into the PLL has been proposed in many literature. The main aim of this paper is to present a survey of the comparative performance evaluation among the PLLs based on different filtering techniques (include DSC-PLL, PMAF-PLL, AMAF-PLL, DMAF-PLL, HPLL, LPF-PLL, TPSF-PLL and CCF-PLL). The dynamic performance of these PLLs under various grid voltage disturbance scenarios, such as grid voltage sag, voltage flicker, phase and frequency jump, harmonics, noise and DC offset is presented through experimental test. And a useful insight about the advantages and disadvantages of these PLLs has been concluded in this paper.
