Abstract

Operational transconductance amplifier based topologies offer diversity in analog circuit designing. In this paper, an attempt is made to explore their versatile performance for different filter circuit designs within the defined bandwidth. The simulation was carried out using P-SPICE simulation and the performance was analyzed under the constrain based approach. The results are encouraging and in greater coherence with the theoretical facts, the quantitative values of parameter of this study includes power dissipation, which is obtained better for current division method, when compared with the other methods. Whereas, it is interesting to observe that the bulk driven topology requires lesser number of transistors than the other approaches and the frequency response of these designs for a range of bandwidth was obtained. A comprehensive study was carried out by comparing these approaches, which emphasized upon the importance of their potential application in the relevant aspects of analog circuit design.
