Abstract
The article gives a brief description of the stack of packaged lumber, requirements for its laying and lashing. It is describing the tiers method of laying and lashing packaged lumber, as well as its main fundamental differences from the unbroken method of lashing. Comparative cost calculations are considered and presented for lashing stack of packaged lumber by tiers and unbroken methods. It is described the technique of lashing the stack with the tiers method. It is comparing number of materials for manufacture of lashing, the difference in the expenditure of materials for manufacture of wires, required time for lashing of stack. It is described the possibility of avoiding expenses with the tiers lashing for additional lashing at several ports of discharging. It is also describing and analyzes the amount of time required for lashing of stack with different methods exactly after completion of loading.
