Abstract

To mitigate the consequences of the social and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, an approach through socio-economic activities is needed. It is necessary to use all available resources as generators of employment and new values. One such model is precisely social entrepreneurship. This paper aims to compare the level of development of social entrepreneurship in developed countries and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to get a picture of the importance of social entrepreneurship for overall economic and social development. In this paper, we analyzed social entrepreneurship in developed countries and BiH. Through this comparative analysis, we have established that social entrepreneurship is of great importance for economic and social development and that a lot still needs to be done for the development of social entrepreneurship in BiH.
