Abstract

This paper is an attempt to develop and compare the different Direction of Arrival estimation method. The antenna arrays are bound to identify the Direction of Arrival in order to get the antenna oriented towards the signal and the reduction of the loss in the signal. The process of finding the Direction of arrival is carried out using different methods like the classical method, Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC), Min Norm and Minimum Variance Distortion less Response MVDR methods. The performance while the DOA estimation method is applied on the sample signal is carried out and the tradeoff is estimated. Matlab based implementation of the different DOA estimation methods are carried out. The performance comparison of these methods is taken and tabulated. Matlab based implementation is carried out and results are discussed.
