Abstract

ABSTRACTMicrostrip bandpass filter with fragment‐loaded resonators is proposed and designed using multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition combined with enhanced genetic operators (MOEA/D‐GO). When loaded by fragment‐type structures, microstrip resonators may have compact size and operate at different modes. By properly setting the modes of fragment‐loaded resonators in objectives of MOEA/D‐GO, stopband attenuation and spurious passband suppression of the microstrip bandpass filter can be readily adjusted and controlled. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
