Abstract
Community Psychiatric Practice is a specialsection within Community Mental Health Journal devotedto issues relating to psychiatrists who practice incommunity mental health centers and similar settings. The intent of the section is to stimulateinteraction and involve community psychiatrists andother community mental health professionals in adialogue analogous to the collaborative situation in thecommunity mental health center. Dialogue andcounter-point will be provided by responses from one ortwo other community mental health experts. Topics willinclude clinical issues, new treatment methods, special populations, training and education, andquestions regarding the role and function of communitypsychiatrists.
