Communication Strategy Planning of Fisherman Kampung Medan Belawan as a Tourist Destination

Abstract

Abstract Location of Kampung Medan Belawan Fishermen is at the northern end of Medan Indonesia. The establishment of settlements in the village does not involve any government or designer. The village has the potential to grow as a destination for marine tourism to improve the quality of life. Researcher identifies perceptions and participation of the population to achieve a proper communication strategy action. Analysis and discussion of research using quantitative and qualitative methods. Results of this study are communication strategies that will encourage the village into a community-based marine tourism destination and local wisdom.
