Abstract

This paper presents extensions of the use of some of the concepts introduced by A. Rose in his work on photoconductivity. Demarcation levels are useful in the case of depleted as well as enhanced carrier concentrations, and both for single-level and multiple-level centres. Depending upon the relative positions of the energy levels involved, one can easily compute the occupancy of centers with multiple energy levels within the bandgap.
