Elkins is a performance technologist, Air Force reserve officer, and student. He works for DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, Inc. in the education and development department, where he is charged with the training and development activities for supervisory and management programs. He is a reserve officer working for the U.S. Air Force Academy as the admissions director and liaison to senate and congressional representatives for the state of Tennessee. Sam is working toward his PhD in human resource development at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. His MS degree from Lincoln Memorial University is in Education.
