Abstract
The total internal conversion coefficient of the 479.53 keV M4 transition in 90mY reported by Krishna Murty et al. (1989) is shown to be incorrect. The corrected value is 0.102+or-0.004. It is shown that in this case the total internal conversion coefficient is inadequate to verify the purity of the transition.
