Abstract

We argue that the Kratzer potential is unsuitable for the description of an electron in a spherical quantum dot. We show that the authors failed to derive the correct interaction between the electron and the electric field. Besides, they omitted a term in the interaction between the electron and the magnetic field that does not appear to be negligible.
