Abstract
ABSTRACT Three species of the family Taeniacanthidae (Crustacea: Copepoda), Echinosocius elatensis n. sp., E. pectinatus Humes and Cressey and Echinirus diadematis n. sp., are associated with the sea urchin Diadema setosum in the Gulf of Elat (= Gulf of 'Aqaba). Ecological observations are presented and the possible mode of speciation of the two species of Echinosocius which occur together on the same host is discussed.
