Abstract
ABSTRACT Fuograneua elatensis, n. gen., n. sp., has built a serpulid reef within a crevice of a coral knoll near Elat port, Gulf of Elat (= Gulf of 'Aqaba). The knoll is in a shallow area subject to thermal and chemical pollution. The species and its habitat are described. Previously undescribed material from the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia is referred to this species. Some other gregarious species of Serpulidae in Israeli waters are considered.
