Abstract
With the discovery of America, the Platonic tale of Atlantis became subject to countless studies. Starting from the 18th century some scholars have placed Atlantis in the Mediterranean. Within this line of study the island of Sardinia occupies an important place. This work summarizes the research that identifies Atlantis with Sardinia.
