Abstract

The polycrystalline sample of α-Ca2P2O7: Eu3+, Dy3+ was prepared by employing modified solution combustion synthesis method. The PL and PLE spectra indicate that the main emission wavelength of this phosphor is in green and Red region for excitation band in UV and N-UV region. From the excitation and emission spectra it may be consider as one of the component for the production of white light in solid state lighting application. The prepared sample was confirmed by XRD technique and photoluminescence measurement was done on HITACHI F-7000 fluorescence spectrometer. By Exposing with gamma-rays, its thermoluminescence properties were studied. Kinetic parameters were calculated using peak shape method. The effect of dose variation of on α-Ca2P2O7: Eu3+, Dy3+ were also studied. This phosphor can also be utilized for environmental monitoring application.
