Abstract

Combustible solid waste gasification was simulated with Aspen Plus based on the principle of Gibbs free energy as well as mass and energy balance. Preheated air temperature and air equivalence ratio (ER) were found to have a crucial influence on gasification characteristics under 600 °C gasification conditions. Simulation results show that the optimum operating conditions are 0.4 air ER and 600 °C preheated air temperature. Aspen Plus is a favorable means to simulate the gasification process and provides good guidance for the experiment.
