Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) becomes an attractive technique because it has high data rate handling capability. OFDM is used in digital audio broad-casting (DAB), digital video broadcasting (DVB) and wireless LAN. High peak to average power ratio (PAPR) is major problem in OFDM system. In this paper, combined selective mapping (SLM) and tone reservation is applied to reduce PAPR in OFDM systems, proposed technique gives better result in terms of PAPR reduction.
