Abstract
The steady state flow and heat transfer characteristics of the combined natural and forced convection in a two dimensional, laminar, incompressible wall jet over a vertical wall are obtained for constant wall heat flux boundary condition. The velocity and temperature distribution are assumed to be power series, where the zeroth term corresponds to that for a plane wall jet in the absence of buoyancy effects. Numerical results for the momentum and thermal series functions are presented for a Prandtl number of 0.73. Wall values of the momentum and thermal series functions are presented for Prandtl numbers ranging from 0.01 to 1000.
