Abstract
Further attenuated measles vaccine and HPV-77 DE 5 rubella vaccine were combined in the field and given by single injection. Four different dose mixtures were used: each of two lots of measles vaccine was combined with each of two lots of rubella vaccine. In the four vaccine groups, no significant differences in antibody response were found among 197 children originally seronegative to both viruses and no clinical reactions occurred. A total of 96% developed measles HI antibodies and 93% formed HI antibodies against rubella. Rates of seroconversion and geometric mean antibody titers were similar to those in 129 singly seronegative children. There was no interference between vaccines within the dose ranges studied.
