Abstract

RATIONALE: Since GST-P1 is the main cytosolic GST enzyme in lung epithelium involved in metabolizing tobacco metabolic intermediates and reactive oxygen species (ROS), we examined the GST-P1 polymorphism in the CCAAPS population as a determinant of ETS metabolism and the development of asthma.
