Abstract

The review focuses on the main strategies of antihypertensive therapy set out in the 2018 ESC/ESH recommendations. The basis of antihypertensive therapy consists of five main classes of antihypertensive drugs, which should form the basis of the combined drug antihypertensive therapy in most patients.
