Abstract

A supply chain consists of a network of organizations and facilities that work in tandem to transform raw materials into finished, customer-ready products. Combinatorial optimization is one of the sub-class techniques of optimization in the domain of operation research, Computational algorithm and pure mathematics. In the present research work, it is investigated the literature review of application of various optimization techniques in the problem of supply chain and logistics management of single and multi-echelon system. This work is focusedon a review and analysis of previously published research papers of last 20 years. The main aim of this review paper is to identifying the research gap in terms of techniques, extended real life problems and future scope. This work has identified different parameters which are directly or indirectly contributed the optimization of supply chain management and logistics in different areas.
