Abstract
The misdiagnostic reason and sonographic features were retrospectively analyzed for 58 pathologically confirmed cases of thyroid microcarcinoma (TMC) at our hospital from January 2006 to January 2013. The ultrasonographic features of TMC included hypoechogenecity, distinct margin, irregular shape, ratio of anteroposterior axis and rectilinear axia ≥1, visible microcalcifications, posterior attenuation, blood flow signals with high resistance index on color Doppler and visible lymph node involvement in central neck area. And a coexistence of benign and malignant lesions should raise an alert for multiple thyroid nodules. Key words: Thyroid neoplasms; Ultrasonography
