Abstract

We study the collective excitations in p- and d-wave superconductors. For both cases we develop a theory of response in a gauge invariant way taking account of the collective degrees of freedom. Further we find that in the d-wave phases there also exist collective modes as in the p-wave phases. Effects of crystal anisotropy on the collective modes are also discussed.
