Abstract

We study the coherent π0 photoproduction on deuterons at energies around the (3, 3)-resonance and discuss the effects of Fermi motion, rescattering and kinematical approximations. The results are very dependent upon what kinematical approximations one adopts for the impulse approximation term, which dominates up to very large angles. Allowing for this uncertainty in the kinematics, our results are in good agreement with the most recent experimental data.
