Abstract

Survival of the fittest is a law of nature. It applies everywhere but the unnatural world of the American corporation, where the unfit not only survive, but propagate prolifically. “Unfit” does not mean unintelligent, lackluster, or passive. Rather, it means someone who has neither the experiences nor competencies to be a decisive leader. It means an administrator who manages through rules and regulations instead of personal power and charisma; someone who maintains the status quo instead of creating the disequilibrium needed for positive change.
