Abstract
Objective To investigate the advantages and efficacy of the vocal cord surgery under suspension laryngeal endoscope combining with television monitoring.Methods 169 cases of benign vocal cord lesions, in which 142 cases were vocal polyps and vocal nodules, 12 cases vocal cord Reinker edema,11 cases vocal cord cyst,2 cases vocal cord leukoplakia,2 cases vocal cord papilloma.Male for 112 cases and female 57 cases.The age were during 8 to 65 yearn old. All patients underwent operated by suspension laryngeal endoscope under the general anesthesia. Results The operation of 166 cases was successful after first procedure.The hoarseness of 165 patients was significantly improved follow up six months with a total effective rate of 97.6％. 3 cases were cured instead by fibrolaryngoscopic surgery because of unable to reveal the glottis.Conclusions The suspension laryngeal endoscope combining television monitoring for the vocal cord surgery can amplify the surgical field,offer clear vision,and allow many people to watch the surgery simultaneously, discuss,and analyze,collect the teaching and clinical data during operation.
