Clinical observation of autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells transplantation combined with rehabilitation for treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of autologous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) transplantation combined with rehabilitation for treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage(HCH) Methods Eighty-seven patients with HCH were randomly divided into control group(rehabilitation treatment) and treatment group(BMSCs transplantation + rehabilitation treatment).The national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS),the glasgow out-come scale (GOS) and the Kamofsky performance scale (KPS) were adopted to evaluate the patients after treatment.Results Six months after treatment,NIHSS score in treatment group and control group were (10.33 ± 7.21),(15.87 ± 10.36),lower than that before treatment ((22.84 ± 13.20),(23.12± 13.34)) and the differences were statistically significant (t =2.47,2.25;P ＜ 0.05),and the treatment group showed decearsed more(t =2.51,P ＜0.05).The GOS score and KPS score in treatment group were significant better than that of the control group(x2 =4.314,P ＜0.05;t =4.47,P ＜0.05).Conclusion Autologous BMSCs transplantation combined with rehabilitation can promote the recovery of the neurological function of patients with HCH.
