Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Yupingfeng particles combined with ebastine in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis. Methods 100 cases of allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into study group and control group, 50 cases in each group. Study group was treated with Yupingfeng granules combined with ebastine, while control group was treated with ebastine only. The two groups were treated for 2 weeks. The total effective rate, the scores of nasal congestion, nasal itching, sneezing, the levels of inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-10, IL-12) before and 2 weeks after treatment, and the occurrence of adverse drug reactions of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results There was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of nasal congestion, nasal itching, sneezing in two groups significantly decreased (P<0.05); the scores of nasal congestion, nasal itching, sneezing in study group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of IL-10, IL-4 in two groups decreased, while the level of IL-12 increased (P<0.05); the levels of IL-10, IL-4 in study group were lower than those in control group, while the level of IL-12 was higher than that in control group (P<0.05). There were no significant adverse drug reactions during 2 weeks of treatment in the two groups. Conclusion Yupingfeng particles combined with ebastine in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis has obvious clinical curative effect, which can reduce the levels of inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and IL-10 and increase the level of IL-12, with good medication safety. Key words: Yupingfeng particle; Ebastine; Allergic rhinitis; Curative effect; Inflammatory factor
