Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of diphereline combined with levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) on adenomyosis . Methods A total of 90 patients with adenomyosis treated in Zhengzhou People’s Hospital from February 2016 to December 2017 were selected, and they were divided into two groups by randomized controlled method, with 45 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given LNG-IUS, while the patients in the observation group were treated with diphereline based on the control group. The clinical efficacy, menstrual blood volume, dysmenorrhea, uterine volume, endometrial thickness, carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) level, adverse reactions between the two groups were compared. Results After treatment for 6 months, the total effective rate in the observation group (88.89%) was higher than that in the control group (71.11%, P<0.05); after treatment for 6 months, the menstrual blood volume, VAS score of dysmenorrhea, uterine volume, endometrial thickness, CA125 level in two groups decreased, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05); the expulsion rate of LNG-IUS and irregular vaginal bleeding rate in the observation group (4.44%, 8.89%) were lower than those in the control group (20.00%, 28.89%) (P<0.05). Conclusions Diphereline combined with LNG-IUS is effective on adenomyosis, which can improve menometrorrhagia, reduce the pain of dysmenorrhea and decrease the adverse reactions, so it is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Adenomyosis; Diphereline; Levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine system; Clinical efficacy
