Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of intensity modulated radiation therapy and simultaneous chemotherapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods 112 cases of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer treated in our hospital from June 2016 to September 2017 were randomly divided into observation group (56 cases) and control group (56 cases). The control group were treated by three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy, while the observation group were treated by intensity modulated radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy. The clinical effect, serum tumor markers before treatment and after 2 cycles of treatment were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group (83.93%) was higher than that of the control group (58.93%) (χ2=8.575, P=0.003). The levels of CA125, CY211, CEA, SCC, CA199 of the control group before treatment were (52.18±3.44) kU/L, (19.29±1.88)μg/L, (41.09±4.11)μg/L, (3.23±0.42)μg/L, (53.71±4.78) kU/L, those of the control group after treatment were (35.79±3.45) kU/L,(9.23±1.05)μg/L,(24.16±3.48)μg/L,(1.97±0.28)μg/L, (38.31±3.59) kU/L;those of the observation group before treatment were (52.24±4.65) kU/L,(19.26±1.57)μg/L, (41.08±3.98)μg/L,(3.25±0.48)μg/L, (53.66±4.68) kU/L, those of the observation group after treatment were (30.88±3.41) kU/L, (3.45±0.45)μg/L, (18.12±2.69)μg/L, (1.21±0.21)μg/L, (31.26±3.24) kU/L; those of the observation group after treatment were lower than those before treatment and those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Intensity modulated radiation therapy and simultaneous chemotherapy has good clinical effect for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, which can reduce the levels of serum tumor markers, with high value of clinical application.
