Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) combined with Chuangbifu (an FGF biologic protein sponge dressing) on deep bedsore. Methods A total of 67 patients were randomly divided into 4 groups:the control group (n =16),the Chuangbifu group (n =16),the HBO group (n =15) and the HBO combined with Chuangbifu group (n =20).Then,healing progress and nursing time were observed and compared between the 4 groups. Results Cure rates of the Chuangbifu group(62%),the HBO group(46.7%)and the HBO combined with Chuangbifu group(80%)in the same observation periods were all superior to those of the control group (P < 0.01),and statistical significance could be seen between them (P < 0.05).Cure rate of the HBO combined with Chuangbifu group was superior to those of the Chuangbifu groupand the HBO group (P < 0.05).With regard to nursing time in the four groups, the nursing time for the HBOgroup, the Chuangbifu group and the HBO combined with Chuangbifu group was all significantly shorter than thatof the control group (P < 0.01),and indirect nursing time for the HBO combined with Chuangbifu group wassignificantly shorter than that of the Chuangbifu group and the HBO group (P < 0.05).Conclusions HBOtherapy combined with Chuangbifu could significantly increase the therapeutic effect on patients with deepbedsore, and at the same time,it could decrease nursing load on the medical personnel.
