Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion in the treatment of uremic pruritus. Methods 72 cases of maintenance hemodialysis patients with pruritus in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group (HD+ HP group) and control group (HD group), 36 cases in each group, the control group using pure hemodialysis (HD) treatment, 3 times a week, 4 hours each time, the observation group based on routine hemodialysis on the use of 2-3/month combined artificial kidney treatment (hemodialysis (HD) combined with hemoperfusion (HP) treatment), β2-microglobulin detected before and after treatment in two groups (β2-MG), parathyroid hormone (PTH), and the two groups were observed in patients with skin itching improvement. Results after treatment for 2 months, the serum β2-MG and PTH in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion can effectively remove macromolecular toxins in the blood, relieve the symptoms of pruritus in patients with long-term hemodialysis, improve the prognosis, and improve the quality of life of patients with uremia. Key words: Hemodialysis; Hemoperfusion; Uremia; Pruritus
