Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of hemodialysis (HD) combined with hemoperfusion (HP) in the treatment of uremic pruritus. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with uremic pruritus were analyzed retrospectively. All cases were treated with HD combined with HP.Results Pruritus score before and after treatment was (9.3 + 0.7) scores and (4.9 + 0.6) scores, respectively. And there was statistical significance (P <0.05).The erum creatinine, urea nitrogen, parathormone and β2 microglobulin before treatment were (712 ±148) μmol/L,(17.7 ±3.8) mmol/L,(47.1 ±12.4) ng/L,( 27.4 + 5.6 ) μ mol/L,respectively,and after treatment they were ( 324 ± 84 ) μ mol/L,( 7.4 ± 2.3 ) mmol/L,(15.6±5.1) ng/L,(11.1 ±2.2) μmol/L,there were statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusions HD combined with HP can effectively lighten the pruritus. It is worthy of clinical application.
