Abstract
Objective To investigive the clinical effect of montelukast sodium combined with cetirizine hydrochloride on cough variant asthma in children.Methods Eighty children with cough variant asthma were recruited into this study,and they were divided into two groups.Observation group received montelukast sodium and cetirizine hydrochloride therapy for 3 months.Control group received seretide evohaler therapy for 3 months.The clinical effect of the two groups were observed.Results There was no significant difference in effective rate between the two groups (P =0.615).Conclusions Montelukast sodium combined with cetirizine hydrochloride is safe and effective in the treatment of cough variant asthma in children.
