Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Brevisapine on the vision restoration of advanced glaucoma after the intraocular pressure (IOP) was controlled by surgery. Methods 96 cases (128 eyes) of advanced glaucoma had undergone surgery for controlling of IOP. Then they were treated by Brevisapine for averagely 3 months. The vision was observed in the 12 -72 months period of follow-up. Results All of the patients had got an improved vision of 0. 1 - 0.3. There was no side-effect or rebound phenomenon. Conclusion Brevisapine can improve the vision of advanced glaucoma after the lOP had been controlled. It is a safety and effective traditional Chinese herb.
