Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of nasal endoscopic surgery for nasal sinus tumor. Methods 124 cases of nasal sinus tumor in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2014 were selected, and divided into observation group and control group with the random number table method. 62 cases in observation group were treated by nasal endoscopic surgery, while 62 cases in control group were treated by conventional lateral rhinotomy. Observed operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative pain, and complications of the two groups, observed the recurrence of 1-3 years’ follow-up. Results There were statistically significant differences in operation time of type I, II patients between observation group and control group [(37.63±15.19)min vs.(68.14±10.36)min, (61.34±9.15)min vs.(100.21±16.12)min; P<0.01]. There were statistically significant differences in intraoperative blood loss of type I, II patients between observation group and control group [(71.36±5.92)ml vs.(217.33±11.42)ml, (205.42±10.78)ml vs.(312.28±9.26)ml; P<0.01]. There was statistically significant difference in VAS score between observation group and control group [(3.11±0.81) vs.(6.32±1.23), P<0.05]. There was statistically significant difference in the incidence of complications between observation group and control group (9.68% vs.29.03%, P<0.05). There was statistically significant difference in the recurrence rate between observation group and control group (4.84% vs.16.13%, P<0.05). Conclusion Nasal endoscopic surgery for nasal sinus tumor can shorten the operation time, decrease intraoperative blood loss, reduce the degree of postoperative pain, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence rate. Key words: Nasal cavity tumor; Sinus tumor; Nasal endoscopic surgery; Lateral rhinotomy; Clinical curative effect
