Abstract

The problem of cirrhosis of the liver is currently one of the most pressing problems not only in modern hepatology, but also in all internal medicine. The urgency of this issue lies in its prevalence among people of relatively young, working age, the possibility of a number of serious complications, frequent disability and relatively high mortality. Liver cirrhosis is an end stage of liver disease in which the liver gradually contracts and divides into wide fibrous bands associated with extensive necrosis and regenerative nodes of liver cells.
