Abstract

Fungal infections of the skin, hair and nails are spread all over the world and their frequency continues to grow. The main pathogens are dermatphytes, geographical distribution of which varies in different parts of the world. The high prevalence of mycotic infections shows that mycoses of the skin are found in 20—25 % of the world’s population, making it one of the most frequent forms of infection. Microsporia occupies an important place among dermatophytic infections, as it is highly infectious and the most common fungal disease of children’s age. Zoophilic dermatitis Microsporum canis is a predominant pathogen of this disease.Today, the issue of treatment of microsporia in children remains relevant and requires constant improvement of existing and development of new treatment regimens taking into account the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical course of dermatosis. The systemic antimycotic grizeofulvin in combination with Antral has shown its effectiveness in the treatment of microsporia of the scalp in children and adults. Antral prevents the toxic effects of medicines and substances. The article describes the clinical case and treatment of microsporia of the scalp and nail. In microsporia of the scalp and nail was an effective and safe systemic antimycotic Grizeofulvin in combination with the drug Antral. With microsporia of the scalp and nail, the systemic antimycotic griseofulvin in combination with the Antral drug turned out to be effective and safe.
