Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of simultaneous open prostatectomy and inguinal herniorrhaphy through Turner-Warwick incision.Methods 12 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasis and inguinal hernia,underwent simuhaneouly suprapubic or retropubic prostatectomy and inguinal herniorrhaphy through Turner-Warwick incision.Results In this series,no infection of ineisional wound occurred.All the patients were followed up for 3 months to 3.5 years.and there was no recurrence.Conclusion Simultaneous open prostatectomy and inguinal herniorrhaphy through Turner-Warwick incision is simple and effective.The infection rate of incision or the recurrence rate of hernia Wag not inereased.
