Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy on locally advanced cervical cancer. Methods The Ⅰb2-Ⅱb patients with cervical cancer, among whom 36 underwent arterial neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy for 3 weeks after surgery, another 32 patients directly took radical surgery, the curative effect of neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy on artery, the differences between the two groups in parametrial infiltration rate, vaginal margin positive rate, lymph node metastasis rate were observed. Results After arterial neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy, among the 36 cases of cervical cancer patients with Ⅰb2-Ⅱb, the total efficiency was 83.33%, Ⅰb2 stage was 92.86%, Ⅱa stage was 83.33%, Ⅱb stage was 70%; analysis of postoperative pathological results, parametrial infiltration in intra-arterial neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy group was 30.56%, vaginal margin positive rate was 25%, the rate of lymph node metastasis was 27.78%, which were lower than those in the surgery group, the differences were significant. Conclusions Neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy can make the tumor shrink artery and reduce the parametrial involvement, positive margin rate and the rate of lymph node metastasis, and for the patients with locally advanced cervical cancer who were not suitable for surgery, the surgical opportunity is improved and the total resection rate is improved. Key words: Cervical cancer; Neoadjuvant intra-arterial chemotherapy; Arterial perfusion chemotherapy
