Abstract

In three areas, librarians often exhibit behavior and attitudes that are not conducive to allowing an organization to work smoothly as a team. These areas are: the status of paraprofesionals; the qualifications of administrative professionals such as systems librarians, budget officers, and developments officers; and, where librarians have faculty status, the role of those handful of librarians who, because of the nature of their responsibilities, are neither faculty nor paraprofesisonals
