Abstract
A classification of the main elements of gating systems for die casting on cold horizontal pressing chamber machines is proposed based on the analysis of literature and production experience. Sketches of various types of feeders and supply channels are presented, as well as examples of choosing the type of gating system for various groups of castings are shown. Classification can help solve problems of optimizing the technology of castings manufacturing for design engineers and technologists.
