Abstract
Rhamnolipid, a type of glycolipid that can be biologically produced by Pseudomonas species, has been extensively studied and applied for many industrial and environmental facets. As a well-known biosurfactant, rhamnolipids are biodegradable and relatively nontoxic. Meanwhile, ionic liquids (ILs) are molten salts that remain in liquid states at or close to room temperature, are famous mediums for their non-volatility, non-flammability, air and water stability, tunability, and ionic conductivity, however, ionic liquids are usually hard to synthesize, expensive, toxic, corrosive, and not biodegradable.
