Abstract

A holon phenomenology based on a local Bose Green's function is discussed. The model Green's function is motivated by the incoherent limit of a Bose gas coupled to a Fermi sea for which it is found that the boson lifetime |;IM ∑(ω)| tends to a finite constant at zero frequency. The model gives an asymmetric ∼ | V | electronic tunneling characteristic with small zero bias contribution. It yields an intraband Raman scattering background with weak temperature dependence even for frequency shifts small in comparison to the temperature. The pairing response of the holon gas follows a T -1 law.
