Abstract

SynopsisWe present a classical study of differential electron emission cross sections for highly-charged projectiles at υp ∼ 10 a.u. impinging on water molecules [1, 2]. Comparisons with Continuum Distorted Wave Eikonal Initial State theoretical results and with experimental data are presented. We implement a time-dependent screening effect in our model and account for the molecular target structure by means of a three-center potential.
